Grapple Tanks
Brief
Grapple Tanks is FlorMesh Games first crack at a multiplayer fighting game. Gameplay involves you controlling a tank equipped with a grapple with the goal being to be the last tank standing at the end of the round. My good friends Faran Meshinchi and Dorian Florescu, creators of Grapple Tanks, reached out to me for assistance in creating the game's logo and promotional designs for their Steam store page. I happily accepted, with the one condition being I got to help beta test. As an indie studio, Dorian and Faran sought a logo that aligned with the essence of "Grapple Tanks." The focus was not on flashy elements but on a simplistic design that effectively conveyed the core concept of the game.
Solution
Opting for a simplistic wordmark, I ideated iterations that subtly incorporated elements of the crosshair and the tank. Drawing inspiration from the game's mechanics, I ensured that the crosshair seamlessly became a part of the letter G, while the tank subtly occupied the upper portion of the uppercase letter A. This design approach aimed to maintain a clean and focused logo that pays homage to the game's essence.
